(South Florida Sun-Sentinel ) From the Publisher The know-how you need to run your business From the Author Whoops I'm in Business: A Crash Course in Business Basics, What's it really like to be one of the millions of Americans who holds down a full-time job and also runs a part-time business? What's it like to be manage a household while launching a small business? What's it like to risk retirement saving on a business with your spouse? Before embarking on my new book, Whoops I'm in Business: A Crash Course in Business Basics, I decided to find out what it's really like down in the small business trenches. So I tried an experiment. While maintaining my full time job, I started a business with my wife. Could I pull it off and make a profit? I combined two passions--sound recording and publishing--in an audiobook production venture and I soon learned that the conventional small business wisdom is often out of touch and misguided, especially when applied to "accidental business people." As a result of my personal experiment, as well as years of experience as an attorney to small business owners, I was able to create a real-life business guide for people struggling to earn money from something they love. In addition, Whoops also profiles creative types whose interests become avocations, then obsessions, and finally-inadvertently, unexpectedly-businesses. In short, Whoops provides the type of hands on legal and business tips that can instantly be put into practice by like minded people. Rich

By Tully Parker Hopefully this book was years ago when I decided to venture into the world of entrepreneurship. This book is a fantastic, if you are planning to turn your passion into a business. My suggestion for anyone thinking of starting your own business is to buy the book first and then think deeply about the risks involved, and if you still think they are really worth, after reading this book again! Most people do not know that the chances of a successful start-up are pretty slim. However, if you're still convinced that your idea is great and your own business is what you do, then this book is a must. The book explains some of the obstacles you will face, and examines both the mundane and minute details have to think about trying to set up and navigate through the heady business ~ all trying to get paid! The best part is that he is optimistic about going but honest in his appraisal of the implementation of a new company Oops A very important fact touched, that is often overlooked is that endurance is not enough to keep your business in business.
