Burress I was very impressed with "The Small Business Survival Guide" by Jason Reid. The book is a great reference for the small business owner or manager and contains a wealth of information on a wide range of business topics. This information is an ample amount of other resources available, and I found it very convenient to have everything contained in one volume. I really think this book is a small business to benefit everyone. Above all, the book is practical and pragmatic. It's not a lot of theory, but just advice on the things that a small business owner faces on a regular basis. There are tips, strategies, proposals and schemes that take you to a wealth of topics. Chapter topics include: branding, marketing, when things go really bad, leads, sales, marketing, sales, sales management, employees, hire slow, fire fast, it's your turn, use it wisely, customers, technology, business intelligence, again school, expense management, running a lean operation, and calculating prices, great features, management, meetings, communication is key, dream, management and life management, goals, protect yourself, your company and your employees and business Planning This book is truly a hands-on tools to run a successful small business. Reid is not the type of item and the way he has experienced. For example, in the "great opportunities", says he will discuss doing business with big box retailers. Rather than give a few motivational talk Rah Rah, like "working on getting your product on the shelves of a big box retailer, and watch your profits grow," he says as it is. He offers some simple tips that shines a light on the many small businesses that have been chewed up and spit out by these big companies in some chapters, Reid has specific advice for specific companies. If yours in one of these categories, the better. If not, you can still learn from the advice and look at the forms that apply to your own situation. Throughout the book there are pictures with side questions to help you find ways to apply the information in your business. Of course, to get the most value from these, you have to have time to think about the questions and answers and find the best solutions for them. Reid, because it covers many topics in this book, you can not go in depth about them, but I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of depth that you provide. This book is more ready to use practical business advice I've seen in a single volume in a long time. I guarantee that if you are a small business, this book can help you run your business more efficiently and more This survival guide will show you the path to success. For a wise investment Becker This is a great tool for anyone thinking about starting a business. The way I see it, The Elements of Style (4th edition), the writers, such as Small Business Survival Guide is for young entrepreneurs. Both are intelligent and clearly written and easy to understand. Both are useful guides who never changes in your target down or go away over their heads in an attempt to author to make some kind of whiz-genius creator of the type well. Part of the Introduction contains a list of what the book is not one of these items: This book is not a magic feather. This book is an encyclopedia of everything about any subject. This book is not all there is to learn about running a small business and ... This book will not do the hard work for you. What this book offers: the original direction at start and grow a business. It covers such topics as:.
