Driving Crash - Note: They are trained professionals by Douglas Brown, Rita Mulcahey is one of the leading providers of training in the profession of project management, not to mention one of the most attractive speakers. The book shares the following characteristics: attractive, interesting, full of information, and a good friend if you plan to do an analysis of PM in the short term. Several members of my staff have taken advantage of the effectiveness of their programs. If you are a project manager for skilled labor has not yet graduated Certifiying PMI, or do not want to go through the corps PM encyclopedic knowledge and hard, then this is a very good, very readable overview of virtually everything a project manager who wants to know speed and make . However, my initial impression, I think a "crash course" is for someone who does not have the necessary skills and need to get some results in a hurry What this book is a useful guide for someone who is first past the role of manager project. It is very full. Despair new prime minister, and those who resist police as "overhead" will have a lot of new evidence. Mulcahey is the point again and again that the PM is to plan ahead to avoid failure in the way, when corrective action is expensive. This is absolutely true, however, can be lost in a new PM or resistance process manager to see the processes of project management as another straw on the camel's back. But that is not a new PM _need_ an intensive training course, compared to slower and deeper than a PM with the experience they need? Short version of the PMBOK - definitely. Book Reviews trained for premenstrual syndrome - definitely. I will probably buy for my office for this purpose "crash course" for people who do not know the practice of project management: this baby is too hot for you to handle. Remember that project managers can see you succeed around you are skilled professionals. 9 of 10 people found this review helpful. PM Crash Course is what it is by Gene Schreiner is a good book to learn the essence of project management. Cover price of $ 39 is a bit steep. It's a fast read. The exercises are valuable and made me think before I had a chance to see what Rite wrote. This book does a good job to the basic principles of project management in a concise manner and to cover. Topics presented in a way that a new project manager can learn how to implement a successful project. I wish every new project in my company would read this book and use at least one of the ideas they receive in their next project. Since I am a project manager with experience and have read many books that PM was still a good book as a quick review recommends Neal Whitten, "No Nonsense Advice for successful projects" for both novice and experienced project managers. The best project management book that I know. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. And 'The No. 1 With Douglas A. Rita Clark books I would recommend to anyone seriously PMP certification, or who wish to pursue PMP certification. "Crash Course" is for beginners. But it is a practical study to date information in a condensed overview of the method PMPBOK. Everyone has their favorites, but I found the most effective team of Rita disecting this method. You can make the right choice with 'Crash Course' if you're looking for a guide to wet your appetite and give a true introduction to the field of Project Management as it relates not only to the PMBOK, but also reality.
