There is not entry level material, primarily because it's key points with examples and non examples: Only those who have some experience, get a "hook" that cluster, can relate to this. Examples are given, they are concise and easy to relate. At the end of chapter tests reinforce the topics very well. There are times when an experienced project manager may agree to do something "fresh" with this book is probably not 100% with the necessary answers, which - you know the sort of thing, if you choose to respond by "a" "b" "c" or "d" and the "e" to choose! In general, the authors clearly demonstrate that they meet the scars of specific projects (it seems more practical, hands-on experience than the other). I have 30 + years project management experience behind me, with no further forward in my career I found this book invaluable to refresh my knowledge and learn new ideas. Helen and Karen, thanks for sharing your extensive knowledge. A pet peeve (would have been 5 stars) - when I tried to do the final exam online, as suggested, I could not find on the web. I graduated and sent my response by mail to the name and address listed in the book. I await the answer ... 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Solid project management text by Rolf Dobelli Unlike many books on project management, which tend to dry dune, this textbook for McGraw-Hill's 36-hour Project Management course interesting storytelling element. The focus is on project management skills, but you will also learn about the fascinating historic project, and barriers to their builders encountered. However, this book would have benefited from more disciplined editorship For example, some chapters are likely to help the reader more if you have previously submitted. However, the particular sequence does not diminish the supply of information. The convenient chapter summaries and self-tests at the end of each chapter will help you stay on schedule. We believe that project managers are professional and up-and-coming will find that this book is a worthwhile project. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Small good book - but ... By Lazlo In today's environment, due to many facts and custom tools for managing open source projects, I could not find a decent environment for managing a web project. Maybe not a thesis, but at least in general directions. He does the work of a more abstract form. It is a little short in some respects and too crowded in others, but says: "36 - hour course." A total of McGraw-Hill is a resource of good reputation for teaching materials that I personally prefer over others, in many cases .... See 5 reviews
