TIMING IS CRUCIAL -- DON'T PROCRASTINATE!

What is on the minds of business leaders/owners? Probably a combination of getting more business, not losing good talent, and avoiding some of the challenges of growing technology.

As I have shared in the past, getting more business won't come from "sitting on your hands" and leaving everything status quo. A business needs to be on the cutting edge, sharpening the skills of their workforce, and be proactive and creative in marketing. We know that we get 80% of our business from 20% of customers. So what are you doing to encourage repeat customers, as well as locate new customers? Is your customer service as good as it should be? Have you provided aggressive "customer service training" lately? Are you "sitting on your hands"?

Next, take a look at your talent pool. How do they stack up? With a sluggish economy your employees need to be sharper than ever before. If they are feeling over-worked and under appreciated, shame on you! Give serious consideration to training -- Leadership Training, Management Training, etc. Give your workforce a shot in the arm with solid instructions that can make them more effective.

Lastly, what aspects of technology have caused you and your organization the most challenges? Are your computers and programs current? Do you have trouble with the security of your technology? Though not an expert in this field, we are pleased to share solid resources with our business friends.

Take time to review your weak areas and do something about it! Don't procrastinate!
