If advising a young person on selecting a career, what would be the top three points you would make? What do you believe are the most important aspects or factors in the selection of your career? Today business colleges and universities are talking to their students about ethics. With so many in business delving into poor ethics, it might make society wonder if there are any ethics today? Look how many people have swindled money from innocent investors while demonstrating little to no remorse for their actions! What has happened to our society? Does no one have a conscience anymore? As the parents of these young people or their teachers or supervisors, what messages are you relaying to them? Are we encouraging high standards and ethics? Do we encourage honesty? If not, or if not saying anything, what does that imply? As they become adults, what career path would help them to fulfill their dreams and ambitions, while being a positive influence and contributor to society? With so many negative images and actions appearing on our nightly news, our future generation of leaders NEED to hear solid, responsible, and ethical advice. Encourage those young people who you know to take the "high road" in business and in life -- to carefully select a career that uses their talents while contributing to the betterment of our world.
